Dearv Kathy, Graham and Kate and all the family

We are so sad to know that Roger has finally given up his fight against his illness. Johan and I and the children, Matt, Ben, Jessie and Jonathan, all have such fond memories of both of you as the best neighbours we ever had and suurogate grandparents for our kids when they were little. All the meals we've shared, all the cups of tea. We will never forget Roger. We are so sorry we can't be at the funeral in person but we will follow the streaming and we will be praying for you all.

All our love

Dear Kathy, Graeme, Cate and your extended family, Roger and Bruce Tasker often recalled with deep affection the day they waited as two young men to go before the Conscientious Objector's Tribunal hearing and both were then exempt from the Vietnam War call-up.

Kindred spirits from then on, as young couples - a visit to you in Waipawa and together in Greenmeadows, Napier, with your visits to us at Te Haroto and Taupo Hot pools, Bruce and I became parents of Kym, Jenny and Michael who also have their fond memories and send you their love.

We recall Roger's compassion as chaplain at Carrington Hospital and how much all of us benefitted from training and counseling services from Presbyterian Support Services.

In recent years both families have been courageously and positively living with sad and painful challenges in common as we have aged.

You have always been there with your inspirational friendship and we are with you in spirit as you celebrate Roger's amazing life. Love joy and peace be with you all amidst our sad farewell and letting go of our very dear friend.

Lynne and Bruce Tasker.
